Linda Bonney Bostrom Thank you for watching the live session and for this amazing feedback! I agree with so much of what you said and really appreciate that you recommend my book to clients. I love the way you think about your yoga practice and instruction. Helping people become more aware of their body and their overall movement system is one of the most important things we can do in terms of treating pain, reducing injury risk and promoting overall health. Thanks again for taking the time to share your thoughts!

Replied on Double Leg Bridge

That makes a lot of sense. If the knees are bent more, the stress will shift to the quads and the patellofemoral joint, which will cause knee discomfort in many people. The knees need to be extended more to target the glutes and hamstrings.

Replied on Lateral Squat Walk

I can understand how performing this exercise might be challenging in a yoga class when you might not have access to resistance bands. Even though performing it without a band will have less of a strengthening effect, it would still be helpful from an awareness standpoint. I love that you are thinking about incorporating exercises like this lateral squat walk in your yoga classes!

Sounds great!
