If the OA is behind the patella, which often happens with patellar tracking issues, I would recommend implementing exercises for patellofemoral joint pain. These often help relieve pain and improve function. Also, patellar taping can help reduce pain, if the pain is primarily coming from the patellofemoral joint.

Here is the link to the patellofemoral joint pain program here in the app.

Denisa Filadelfiova I'm happy to help and glad to hear that your symptoms are too severe. Please let me know of any questions that come up along the way.

Hi Michelle, I'm sorry that I am just now seeing this! For some reason, I didn't get a notification about this message. Based on our call on Wednesday, are you feeling more confident about which program to follow in the membership?

Hi Denisa, In most cases, meniscus injuries can be treated successfully with targeted rehab exercises. We really try to discourage people from having meniscus surgery as the research now shows that meniscus surgery increases the chances of developing knee arthritis earlier in life. However, if your knee is getting locked and stuck in certain positions, then meniscus surgery may be appropriate. I do have a meniscus rehab program here in the app under the knee section. Have you seen it yet?

Hi Linda, I hope to be able to chat with you in an office hours session one day soon! You are so right that it is important for us to be mindful of the movements and postures that we regularly engage with in our normal lives. If pain changes when going on vacation or doing something different, then we have to step back and think about what might be happening in our regular life that might be stirring up pain.

Hi Sarah!

I just DM’d you a video with a few exercises. Please let me know if it doesn’t show up in your messages area.

Here is the replay from today's office hours session. This one included discussions about shoulder labral tears, shoulder impingement, QL pain and hip pain. I hope more of you can join in the future!
